Clubs Legal Responsibilities
Clubs are administered by the Associations Incorporated Act 1984 which is managed by the Office of Fair Trading in New South Wales. The Department publishes useful fact sheets which can be found at http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au
Each club is required to be incorporated and have a club constitution which all club executive members should be familiar with.
Surf Life Saving New South Wales (SLSNSW) send out post AGM action sheets and a club contact sheet directly to clubs to comply with the Associations Incorporated Act.These forms should be completed and sent back to the SNB Office.
Each club is required to be affiliated with SLSNSW and Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches (SNB) by completing a separate application form; these forms are sent out by SNB and SLSNSW.
