Education & Assessment

Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches prides itself on its achievements in education, training, assessment and proficiencies.  Our 21 Clubs gained more than 8000 awards last season and compliance and proficiency on our beaches is outstanding.

Recent Education Audits have seen our Branch achieve 100 % compliance under the RTO framework and a lot of work is being done to assist clubs achieve a higher standard of lifesaver on our beaches.

Our focus is to assist our members in up skilling themselves while we deliver a high level of education across the 21 clubs. A number of members are currently undertaking the Certificate IV and they will enable us to facilitate even more training and education across the northern beaches and beyond.

We also teach our surf awareness message to thousands of students every year through classroom and beach based programs run by our Surf Life Saving School.
