Surf Life Saving - Sydney Northern Beaches

18-25s Program

The 18-25s Program aims to include and involve members in this age bracket in events and programs organised through the member services panel. The Advisors aim to organise events that build on skills as well as enable members to meet others from different surf clubs within the Branch.

Opportunities Available

18-25 Advisors

Dannii Edwards: Dannii has been in the surf movement over the last 6 years. Dannii is a Patrol Captain at North Steyne SLSC and really loves mentoring the younger members on the patrol. Dannii is a keen IRB Driver and welcomes all the practice she can get and hopes to be involved in RWC Support Services. Dannii has been involved in many State camps including 18-25s Development Program and Lifesaving Exchange Program.

Henry McGilchrist: Started his path in surf lifesaving as an U6 Nipper at Avalon Beach. After working through the age groups Henry achieved his SRC and then Bronze.

Through the 2017-2018 season, patrol became the highlight of Henry’s weekends, and summer in general. Henry attended the SLS NSW Youth Opportunity Makers Workshop, which he felt was one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences he ever had. Networking with other young people on similar paths through surf from across the State, Henry was inspired to pursue a role which would allow him to positively contribute to the experiences of young people within the Sydney Northern Beaches Branch and SLSNSW as a whole.
