Surf Life Saving - Sydney Northern Beaches

Parking conditions will vary at every surf carnival depending on the time of year and the council at which the carnival is taking place. You will need to check information for each carnival to find out about parking arrangements.

SLSSNB has negotiated with Pittwater council to waive any parking fees for branch organised surf life saving carnivals. These are limited to FULL Junior, Open and Boat carnivals held within Pittwater council. Please be aware that anybody who is parked illegally wil be booked regardless of the parking exemption so ensure that you are parked in an approved parking area/spot. Please check the individual carnival program to check parking arrangements in case there are exceptions to this rule.

Unfortunately we have not been able to come to an agreement with Warringah and Manly Councils so all parking needs to be paid for within these council boundaries - unless you have a valid parking sticker for that area. Host clubs may have a set parking area such as the Queenscliff lagoon but this is advertised closer to the date as it is not always possible to open up the park especially in wet conditions.

Clubs holding special events have the opportunity to ask for the pay and display parking to be waived for their specific event. If the club is successful, it will be advertised on the club’s website, marketing material and entry information.

Please do not assume there is free parking for any CARNIVAL OR SPECIAL EVENT, details of parking will be included with Carnival Program.
